About
I started as a volunteer firefighter in the 1980s, working alongside my father and others in our community.
Since then, I’ve been fortunate to work as a firefighter across forestry, parks and wildlife, fire and emergency services, and as a volunteer. Over the years I’ve worked with many respected leaders and highly experienced crews — from local bushfires through to large‑scale Level 3 incidents. For the past decade, my focus has been on training, delivering bushfire and incident management courses across the state.
In 2016, Lynette and I built the first Bushfire Model to help a local firefighter share his knowledge with new brigade members. The first session was a great success, and word spread quickly. Before long, we were receiving requests for more models — including from Fire and Rescue and State Emergency Service personnel.
Operating from regional Western Australia, we design and supply training models to brigades, mining companies, and fire agencies across Australia.
Thank you for your time and interest in the work we do.

Our aim is to help firefighters share their knowledge.
The ongoing feedback and support that we receive from firefighters and fire departments across Australia is a huge part of the Bushfire Model’s success.
We make each model by hand; an investment in time that maintains our aim of helping firefighters share their knowledge.
